A team from British Aerospace Brough checks the system installation and wing-folding mechanism on a 1948 Hawker Sea Fury being restored to flying condition for the Royal Navy Historic Flight. It was handed over to the Duke of York yesterday. The Sea Fury, in service from 1947-54, was the fastest single engine propeller driven production aircraft ever, capable of 460mph at sea level. Restoration used modern concurrent engineering and computer techniques.
