Leicester-based precision engineering and fabrication firm Peachmay has been bought from receiver KPMG Corporate Recovery by Carlton Laser Services.
The £2m turnover business went into receivership in July. The remaining workforce has been kept on.
Dennis Kent, Carlton Laser Services managing director, pictured (l-r) with Nick Elliott of KPMG and Carlton production director Mohan Jassi, said: ‘This is the first of the strategic acquisitions identified in our five-year business plan.’
The company aims to create an engineering group with three core manufacturing units: a laser-cutting and punching business, fabrication and painting business and a precision machining business. It will have a combined turnover of £7.5m by 2001.
