Citroen UK has appointed Alain Favey (above) as its managing director. He was formerly managing director of Citroen Belgium, where he oversaw record sales in 1999.
Barry Langsford has been promoted to managing director of Curtis Instruments UK. He was formerly administration and finance manager, and takes over from Richard Sadler, who has been promoted to vice-president, western European operations.
Asta Development, a specialist in project and programme management, has appointed Michael McCullen to the post of managing director.
Stokvis Tapes, supplier of adhesive tapes to the aerospace industry, has appointed Wim Noorlander as chief executive of the group. He was formerly managing director of Stokvis in the Netherlands. Charles Stevens becomes the company’s new sales manager and Mark Crisp becomes market specialist for aerospace.
Brian Farman has been appointed sales engineer for arc and cutting systems supplier Motoman Robotics UK. He will be responsible for applications for arc and spot welding, and water jet and other cutting techniques.
Schneider Electric has appointed Philippe Barbey as UK director for the company’s automation and control division.
Peter Aldridge has been promoted to director and head of HSBC Rail, a rolling stock leasing company.
Vacuum and air handling specialist Rietschle has appointed Chris Rose as northern sales engineer. Mathew Gent has been promoted to southern sales engineer responsible for standard products.
Following two and a half years’ maternity absence, Caroline Heon-Roberts has returned to Valvestock and to the territory she previously covered for the company – north Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire and north Staffordshire.
Maurice Tidy has been appointed marketing and communications director of WSP Group, one of the UK’s largest multi-disciplinary consulting engineers. He joined WSP in August, when the group acquired his company Fulcrum Integrated Consultancy.
