Power companies have offered big industrial users price cuts following complaints from a consumers’ association and the electricity regulator.

Don McGarrigle, who chairs the electricity group at the Major Energy Users’ Council (MEUC), said on Wednesday some members had been offered cuts of ‘several per cent’ on the initial contract offers for the 12-month period to run from April 1.
