Siemens has won a £120m turnkey contract to develop the second phase of the Seabank power station at Avonmouth, near Bristol. It will add a further 385MW from a combined cycle power plant, bringing capacity to 1,140MW. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2001. Seabank Power is a joint venture between BG and Scottish and Southern Energy.
