Small motor units give mobile power

Motor pump units from Robert Bosch provide a mobile source of hydraulic power with sizes up to 8kw and voltages of between 12-80V DC.

Gear pumps are directly mounted on to specially built motors, making the units more compact.

Maximum pressure is 250 bar with a maximum flow of up to 50 litres/min. Heavy duty cycles are possible for applications including fork lift trucks and access platforms.

Fan cooling on the larger units prevents motors from overheating when in operation for long periods.

* GE Fanuc, the company that introduced Cimplicity process control software to make PLCs work alongside PCs and CNCs, is to boost its operator display offering with the acquisition of AFE Technologies. The deal will enable GE Fanuc to bring out a new range of user-friendly displays under the Cimplicity Datapanel banner.

* The Tekleen automatic filter filters down to 20 microns using a circular metal mesh as the filter medium. When a fixed pressure differential between inlet and outlet is reached it automatically goes into backwash for about five or six seconds with no significant interruption to fluid flow.

Having a small footprint, it can be used as a sidestream filter in recirculating systems or in line. It operates hydraulically, on a time switch, or an electrical pressure differential system.
