Kevin Howe was appointed chief executive of the Phoenix Consortium’s Rover Group on 1 June. He was released from his position as managing director of the fan systems division of Rolls-Royce. He worked for Michelin Tyres and General Electric before joining Rover Group in 1988, where he become managing director for small and medium-sized cars. Other appointments, all long-serving Rover managers, are John Parkinson, who becomes sales and marketing director; John Millet, finance director; Bob Beddows, human resources director; and Chris Bowen, operations drirector.
