Rover prices are to be cut by 10% in an attempt to push the brand back into the mainstream market, Phoenix said this week. The price cuts follow criticism by John Towers, chairman of Phoenix, that BMW had attempted to position Rover as a British BMW. Rover received an 18% sales boost in April this year when prices were discounted heavily.
