Measurement and control systems group Roxspur issued a profit warning on the back of its interim results last week.

A shortfall in sales volumes is expected to have an impact on the annual figures, though chairman and chief executive Ian Orrock said he remains confident of the group’s strategy. Overseas orders were at record levels, he said, though the UK market remains difficult.

Pre-tax profits for the first half came in at £1.52m, up from £1.05m in the same period last year.
