Scomagg has won a £250,000 Thames Water contract for integrated software to work with Allen-Bradley SLC500 systems. The new SCADA system will control and monitor all areas of the treatment works at Shalford in Surrey.

Cegelec has been awarded a £500,000 order to upgrade the soften and descale line at Avesta’s steelworks in Sheffield. Alspa 8000 series controllers will be integrated with GEM 80/400 units using WorldFIP fieldbus.

Crouzet has gained a £40,000 contract for a pneumatic fieldbus station. The Profibus-compatible units will be mounted in 68 control cabinets at the company’s packaging plant in Kilmarnock, Ireland.

Daniel Europe has been selected to supply the export gas metering station in the UK on the Interconnector project. Six 24in Junior meter tubes will provide fiscal measurement required for the export of gas from Bacton in Norfolk to Zeebrugge in Belgium.

KDG-Mobrey’s A500 time-of-flight flowmeters have been chosen by Bechtel to monitor cooling water flows on the petrochemical plant under construction at Yanbu in Saudi Arabia. The meters will monitor seawater coolant in pipes from 300mm to 3.7metres diameter.
