Shell buoy to be broken up in Norway

The Government this week approved anglo-dutch oil giant Shell’s plan for the onshore disposal of a disused 5,000-tonne North Sea loading buoy. The oil company submitted a proposal earlier this year to take the Fulmar Single Anchor Leg Mooring (Salm) buoy ashore at Hjelmeland in Norway to be scrapped and recycled.
