Shares in UK companies could be quoted in euros following the merger of the London and Frankfurt stock exchanges this week. Quoting UK stocks in euros as well as sterling may make them more attractive to European investors according to some experts. It is likely that the new pan-European exchange will use the London exchange as the trading centre for blue chip stocks, while Frankfurt will concentrate on high-growth technology shares.
