Production losses which were costing up to £1,000 per hour for each of 10 process lines at Warner Lambert Confectionery, have been eliminated by the installation of new valves. Pilot valves which could not accurately reduce the 12.4bar boilerhouse steam being supplied to the production process have been replaced with Spirax Sarco pneumatically actuated valves linked to a TMC electronic controller.
