Unigraphics has signed a three-year, $139m (£91.8m) software and services contract with General Motors to provide over 30,000 iMan licences to create the world’s largest real-time collaborative engineering network. iMan is an internet-based content management application, forming the foundation of the UGS collaborative commerce strategy. GM currently uses Unigraphics Wave technology to model large, complex assemblies. Both parties hosted a worldwide net conference to discuss the deal last Tuesday.
