Weir Group companies have announced orders worth £10m for pumping equipment and rubber pipe linings for mining projects in Australia and Chile. Six Weir operations based in South America, the US and Europe joined to clinch a $10m deal to supply gear for the Collahuasi mine in Chile, the world’s biggest copper project. Weir Engineering in Australia joined Dutch subsidiary EnviroTech Pumpsystems to win an A$8m (£3.7m) contract to provide mining gear for Australia’s Murrin Murrin project.
