It’s that time of year again when those of us in industry must carefully place our slide rules in our desk drawers and bid farewell to our drawing boards for a long well-deserved Christmas holiday.
And, for the next week or so, the hard-working editorial and sales folks on The Engineer Online will also be taking a break too.
I hope that this year has been a successful and prosperous one for all of our readers and, of course, our advertisers who have help kept the tills ringing at The Engineer Online over the past twelve months.
I know that this year hasn’t been easy for a lot of us in industry – with cutbacks and mergers making headline news on the site all year. So if your year hasn’t been all that rewarding, then I only hope that next year will see a turnaround of fortune for you, your family and those who work with you.
Importantly, take time to spend this Christmas with those that you love and those that love you. Put your work on the back burner for a while. After all, life is no rehearsal. And people are more important than products.
The editorial team will, of course, be back in the New Year to bring you more of the same technology and business news, features and products from around the globe. So don’t go away! We’ll see you soon!
