National Instruments has expanded its data acquisition digital I/O and signal conditioning components lines with two new optically isolated digital I/O boards and nine SCC isolated analogue input modules.
Isolation capabilities protect a computer from noise and spikes on external signals and break-ground loops, and allow the higher voltage output ranges required by certain applications. The new digital I/O boards and SCC modules are designed to integrate seamlessly with easy to use application software, including LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI.
The two new I/O boards – the PCI-6527 and PXI-6527 – provide 24 isolated, 0-28 VDC inputs, and 24 isolated, 0-60 VDC (0-30 VAC) solid-state relay outputs. They also feature high current drives, interrupt-on-change, digital filtering and protective current limiting circuitry.
The new dual-channel SCC modules provide isolated analogue input with attenuation and amplification. With 300V working isolation, they will return accurate measurements even in the presence of high common-mode voltages. Isolation also prevents ground loops.
