iPoint-media, whose UK base is in Newbury, has secured a three-year contract to provide the technology and services for a major UK mobile operator’s video answer phone service.
iPoint-media provides live, interactive video applications and delivery platforms for web, mobile and other media applications.
The operator, whose name has not been disclosed, awarded iPoint-media with the six-figure contract to continue supplying the Software as a Service (SaaS) along with a number of enhanced features.
Under the terms of the new contract, iPoint-media will continue operating video answer phone as a SaaS using one of its European hosting facilities. The packaged solution consists of the specialist web-native software application necessary to provide two-way video calls between mobile devices and IP networks, as well as the hardware and software to host the carrier class service.
The service allows the operator to terminate video call traffic from its own network as well as cross-network video calls.
