The ISA Tech conference, the world’s leading technical forum in the control engineering sector, will be in the UK in 2001.
Centaur Publishing and the ISA have come to an agreement which places ISA Tech alongside the C&I Show next year. This year’s show will feature a series of six seminars which will be arranged in conjunction with the UK leading associations – Institute of Measurement and Control (Inst MC), Gambica – and the leading publishing company in the field, Centaur Publishing. In 2001, the full ISA Tech will take place in the UK.
Arvid Jahal, Publishing and Events Director of Centaur Publishing commented: “We are delighted to be aligned with these three associations to deliver a strong educational programme.”
The seminar programme at the 2000 C&I Show – held at the NEC from May 9 to 11 – and the full ISA Tech conference event being held in 2001 will both form part of the continuing professional development programme (CPD) and will give attendees the opportunity to claim competence points under the new self assessment scheme.
It is stressed by the four key organisations involved that this is a long term agreement which is intended to benefit the whole industry especially in terms of education and training.
The venture will be much enhanced by Centaur’s new approach to the publishing of its business to business titles which will support the shows and ISA Tech events. The company has carried out extensive market research which will mould its future. The key to Centaur’s new approach is marketing partnerships and the alliance with ISA Tech naturally fits in perfectly.
“There is no longer the need for the archaic product catalogue,” said Jahal. “We are developing titles which will provide readers with solutions. Our complementary activities such as Internet, direct marketing and exhibitions will present our partners with the solutions they need today.”
