SKF has acquired 100% of the shares of US-based Erin Engineering and Research, a $14 million technology and services company based in Walnut Creek, CA.

SKF has acquired 100% of the shares of US-based Erin Engineering and Research.

The technology and services company has an annual revenue of $14 million and employs 45 people at its Walnut Creek, CA headquarters and 45 additional persons in five locations throughout the United States.

Founded in 1983, Erin’s portfolio of products and services include software for maintenance, application engineering and reliability; these allow its clients to improve the reliability and productivity of key enterprise facilities and operations.

Erin’s applications are licensed to clients on a facility or corporate-wide basis based on specific need or request.

To support the software portfolio, Erin also provides implementation support, including application, hardware and networking, and ongoing maintenance.

From its initial focus on supporting the electric power industry, Erin now provides services for clients in the petrochemical industry, in bio-pharmaceuticals, in manufacturing, and in the government arena.
