Built in France by SKF’s subsidiary, RKS SA, it’s intended for a turret to anchor a Floating Production Storage and Off-loading (FPSO) vessel that will be used in the Terra Nova oil field off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

The vessel will be anchored in the open sea and tied to the turret mounted on top of a mooring buoy. Supported by the large slewing bearing, the turret is able to rotate, allowing the ship to move freely in accordance with the waves and wind direction.
