Prototyping plastic parts

Z Corporation has released a new material for use with its line of 3D printers.

Prototypes made with the new zp 250 material system are tough and display the flexible properties of plastic, allowing them to be used in a variety of functional testing applications.

‘Our research and development team created a new material optimised for prototyping thin-walled plastic parts that has three times the toughness of any of our previous materials,’ explained Scott Banda, Z Corporation’s Product Manager.

The new material system includes a powder, binder and the new Z-Snap flexible epoxy infiltrant developed through Z Corporation’s partnership with ITW Devcon, a formulator of epoxies for industrial customers.
