Eaton Corporation is to purchase Ultronics, the UK-based developer of electro-hydraulic control valves, systems and software.
The purchase includes Ultronics’ Cheltenham, UK-based design centre and a sales and applications office in Sweden.
Ultronics’ other principal activity is the design, development and supply of thin-film pressure sensor technologies through its Senstronics business.
Earlier in the month, Eaton disclosed that it was forming a joint venture with the Chinese-based Changzhou Senstar Automobile Air Conditioner Company to produce automotive air conditioning hose and tube assemblies and power steering hose and tube assemblies in Shanghai for Volkswagen’s China operations.
The joint venture, Eaton Senstar Automotive Fluid Connector, will manufacture products in Eaton’s existing truck transmission and hydraulics facility in Shanghai’s Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone.
The terms and conditions of the deals were not disclosed.
