California-based Lantronix claims that its new UDS-10B embedded Device Server enables nearly any device to communicate over a network

California based Lantronix, a pioneer of Device Server Technology, claims that its new UDS-10B embedded Device Server enables nearly any device to communicate over a network; allowing remote monitoring and control via a standard Web browser. Lantronix claims that UDS-10B offers a solution across almost any network providing distributed intelligence to thousands of devices. The company says the product eliminates the need for OEMs and systems integrators to invest resources in developing networking solutions and reduce the time it takes to bring intelligent devices to market.

At $279, the UDS-10B brings several new features and enhancements to the embedded product line including faster data processing, 128-bit encryption for the maximum level of security, support for devices that communicate over RS232 and RS485 transports, and a user-defined development environment that enables development of custom applications.

According to Fred Thiel, CEO of Lantronix. ‘this product allows Device Server Technology to be more widely adopted in industries like security, HVAC, and factory automation.’
