The PS 4-25 linear guide system may be able to offer the fastest assembly time available for the creation of high performance slide systems says its manufacturer, Machine Building Systems.
Supplied for use with Item Line 8 profiles, the new guide system is said to be designed to minimise installation times.
It is comprised of a hardened and polished profiled guide rail used with two bolted clamping rails and bearing carriages which incorporate 4-row recirculating bearings.
With two rail clamps loosely bolted together, and with the guide rail inserted, this assembly can be located onto the relevant mounting profile and the rail clamp bolts tightened.
Further straightening of the profiled guide rail is required to achieve a precision operating linear guide system and this solves the dual problem of assembly time and alignment in this type of unit.
The product is further enhanced by pre-lubricated bearing carriages, operating speeds of up to 5 metres per second within a temperature range of -40 to +100º Celsius and tolerance of offset xyz load moments of up to 510Nm.
Other features include Bearing cartridges of 4 x M6 x 8mm deep holes for load attachment can be fixed to other Line 8 profile sections.
