Two new pressure transmitters from Yokogawa UK have been designed to combine ease of installation with low cost of ownership and operation.
Based on the design used in the company’s DPharp top-end transmitter, the new Models EJA510A and EJA530A combine piezoresistive sensing technology with high-reliability digital electronics and a range of communications interfaces.
The EJA510A (absolute) and EJA530A (gauge) transmitters can be used to measure liquid, gas or steam pressure, and cover a measuring range from 100 mbar up to 500 bar. Output is a 4-20 mA DC signal, on which are superimposed the Brain or Hart FSK communications protocols for remote setup and monitoring.
The transmitters are designed for direct mounting onto a pipe with no need for extra piping or valves to increase installation time and cost. The low cost of ownership is also boosted by the reliability of the built-in electronics, with estimated MTBF values of 450 years based on experience with DPharp.
Intrinsically safe models are also available with Ex Certification for use in explosion-protected applications.
