In response to increased business, sustainable energy technology business Ener-g has expanded its Greater Manchester manufacturing facility.
The company has moved part of its operation into additional production space and office accommodation near its UK research and development, manufacturing and administration headquarters in Salford.
The additional factory will enable Ener-g to assemble up to five 2MWe containerised combined heat and power (CHP) or landfill gas generator units simultaneously, making production faster.
Pre-despatch test facilities will also be expanded to accommodate simultaneous testing of three units, reducing lead times and improving cost and environmental efficiency savings.
The new factory will release space at the existing site, boosting production capacity for Ener-g’s sub 1MW CHP units. Administration space will also be released, with Ener-g Natural Power, the company’s renewable energy business, relocating to the new offices.
