Brammer UK Ltd, part of Europe’s leading distributor of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) products and services, has extended its existing two-year partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation UK for an additional 12 months.
Brammer has already fully funded the costs of over 20 magical wishes to be granted for children and young people living with life-threatening illnesses. Contributing to an ever-increasing range of Make-A-Wish fundraising projects in 2008, last year’s efforts included an Awards Dinner with silent auction, a coast-to-coast bike ride, head shaving and iron-man triathlon. Brammer is on course to exceed its original £100,000 target and will continue to raise funds and provide support to Make-A-Wish for the whole of 2009.
Managing Director Ian Ritchie said: “Brammer is immensely proud to work with and support Make-A-Wish; we share their passion and enthusiasm to bring a little sunshine into lives that have been dominated by pain and trauma, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and painful treatment.”
Make-A-Wish Foundation UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses and has granted more than 5,300 wishes since the charity was established in 1986. Karen England, Director of Fundraising, said: “We have a strong relationship with Brammer and are extremely grateful for the decision to extend their partnership with us into 2009. What is particularly heartening is the way Brammer’s staff, customers and suppliers have really taken Make-A-Wish to their hearts and raised so much over the last two years. We are delighted to be working with them again in 2009 and I look forward to seeing their inventive fundraising efforts this year!”
