Dominion and Exterran sign natural gas deal

Energy producer Dominion and Exterran Holdings, a provider of oil and natural gas processing and compression services, have signed a deal to provide increased natural-gas processing in the Appalachian Basin.

Under the agreement, Exterran will design, build and install two natural gas processing plants – an 8m cubic feet per day capacity plant in Carlisle, Ohio, and a 10m cubic feet per day capacity plant in Schultz, West Virginia.

The plants will be owned and operated by Exterran under a 12-year services agreement with Dominion.

Construction is expected to begin immediately, with commercial operation of the Carlisle and Schultz plants anticipated in January and May 2011 respectively.
