RF reports revenue increase

RF Micro Devices, a manufacturer of radio-frequency components and compound semiconductor technologies, has reported a quarterly revenue increase of 51.4 per cent year-over-year and 4.2 per cent sequentially to $260.8m (£170m) in the fiscal 2010 fourth quarter, ending 3 April 2010.

On a GAAP basis, gross margin increased sequentially by 130 basis points to 37.7 per cent, quarterly operating income was $36.6m, and quarterly net income was $26.7m, or $0.10 per diluted share.  

On a non-GAAP basis, gross margin increased sequentially by 120 basis points to 39.6 per cent, quarterly operating income was a record $47.7m, and quarterly net income was a record $43.8m, or $0.16 per diluted share.
