MDA awards General Dynamics missile-defence contract

General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of US defence contractor General Dynamics, has been awarded a contract by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering and Support Services (MiDAESS) programme to provide infrastructure and deployment services in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense System.

The five-year, multiple-award, indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract has no initial award value but a $565m (£347.3m) ceiling value for all awardees.
