Škoda Power to deliver two turbines to Turkish plant

Steam-turbine manufacturer Škoda Power, a part of Doosan Power Systems, has been chosen as the preferred supplier for a number of power-generation projects.

Most recently, Škoda Power has been awarded a contract to deliver two 145MW turbines to the Yunus Emre power plant near Ankara in Turkey, owned by Turkish utility Adularya Enerjí Elektrik Üretimi Ve Madencilik.

The company was previously awarded a contract to supply two 140MW steam turbine generators and technical advisory services for a new combined-cycle power plant near Tel Aviv in Israel.

Another contract was to supply Kuopion Energia with a 46MW steam turbine for its Haapaniemi power plant, which is a biomass-fired plant due to go into commercial operation in December 2011.
