Council fund aims to support advanced manufacturing firms

A fund run by Lancashire County Council is seeking to invest in businesses in advanced manufacturing.

Lancashire’s Rosebud Fund provides loan and equity funding ranging from £50,000 to £1m for a range of uses, including start-ups, funding for growth or for deals such as management buy-outs and acquisitions.

Businesses must be based in, or relocating to, the administrative county of Lancashire. They can be operating directly in advanced manufacturing or supporting others in the sector.

Rosebud was set up by Lancashire County Council in 1986 to help generate wealth and employment. It has recently revised its investment strategy to target high-growth sectors, including advanced manufacturing.
