Halma announces acquisition of Sensorex and Accutome

Halma has acquired US companies Sensorex and Accutome for a total of $57.5m (£36m).

Based in Orange County, California, Sensorex manufactures electrochemical sensors for water analysis applications, while Accutome, which is based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, designs, manufactures and sells surgical and diagnostic instruments and pharmaceuticals for the ophthalmic market.

Amersham-based Halma, which is active in health, infrastructure sensors and industrial safety, has funded the acquisitions through its existing cash and debt facilities.
