Engineering and construction company Foster Wheeler has announced that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by the Daewoo engineering company for the design and supply of two circulating fluidised-bed (CFB) steam generators for Indonesian energy group PT Merak Energi.
The project is located in Banten Province on the western part of the island of Java, Indonesia.
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed and the contract value will be included in the company’s third-quarter 2010 bookings.
Foster Wheeler will design and supply the two 60MWe CFB steam generators and auxiliary equipment, and provide site-advisory services for the project.
The CFB steam generators, which are scheduled for commercial operation in the third quarter of 2010, will be designed to burn local coal.
