Prysmian posts sales figures for first half of 2010

Energy-cable company Prysmian has announced that, for the first half of 2010, company sales amounted to €2,148m (£1,780m) compared with sales of €1,848m in the first half of 2009.

Adjusted EBITDA came to €181m, down 6.5 per cent from €193 in the prior-year quarter, while adjusted operating income was €143m − down 11 per cent from the comparable quarter.

Adjusted net profit was posted at €77m, representing a decrease of 18.1 per cent from €94m in the first half of 2009.

The company reported its net financial position at the end of the half-year period at €675m, up from €66m on 30 June 2009.
