Sea Energy to utilise Ampelmann ship platforms

Sea Energy, an Aberdeen-based offshore wind development company, has announced that it has signed an exclusivity agreement with Ampelmann, an offshore access solutions developer, to secure use of its ship-based self-stabilising platforms.

The company plans to use the Ampelmann platforms aboard Ulstein X-Bow vessels, enabling its marine services business to provide greater access and cost efficiencies to offshore wind turbine developers and operators.

The company also recently signed a letter of intent with Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein to co-develop new service vessels for the offshore wind industry.
