Nick Clegg backs Closed Loop Recycling’s expansion plans

Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has given his backing to London Olympic legacy business Closed Loop Recycling’s expansion plans, which will reportedly double capacity at the east London plant, creating an advanced plastics purification facility.

Closed Loop Recycling, which was originally born out of the 2000 Sydney Olympics, has helped to stimulate UK consumers to recycle more.

Its expansion is intended to lead to the creation of potentially hundreds of new green jobs throughout the packaging and recycling industries, including more than 100 new or safeguarded jobs at the Dagenham site.
