US Treasury awards $6m grant to clean-energy firm Camco

Clean energy specialist Camco International has announced that its US operation has been awarded a clean-energy grant from the US Treasury of approximately $6m (£3.5m).

The grant has been awarded in connection with the construction of Camco’s 4.5MW anaerobic digester at a dairy farm in Jerome, Idaho, which produces biogas from cow manure that is then used to produce renewable energy.

The majority of the money received will be used to repay a loan that was used to fund part of the construction of the project.
