WSP Group and Genivar form professional services company

A merger between engineering and design consultancies WSP Group and Genivar has been finalised, creating a professional services company with combined revenues of £1.1bn and approximately 14,500 employees.

Under the terms of the merger, WSP’s shareholders received £4.35 for each WSP share, valuing the share capital of WSP at around £278m.

The merged company will reportedly offer diversified services across numerous geographic regions, market segments and in the public and private sectors.

It will drive cross-selling opportunities across the globe, building on WSP’s position in sectors, including high-rise, bridge and rail infrastructure and on Genivar’s experience in mining, natural resources and energy.
