The order is made of eight firm and 12 options with an additional six leased aircraft. If all options are realized, the order will be worth $340 million to IAE.
Aegean Airlines, which has been in operation since May 1999, serves major Greek destinations and some European cities. This order will be made up of Airbus A319s and A320s with delivery commencing in 2008.
The 22,000-33,000lb of thrust V2500-A5 is available in seven different thrust settings to power the Airbus A319, A320 and A321 family of aircraft as well as the A319 Corporate Jet.
More than 1,300 V2500-powered aircraft have been delivered and the worldwide fleet has accumulated over 33 million flying hours.
