Inkjet innovation company ixPressia has begun shipping its Print Engine software technology which aims to make the release of new printers easier for manufacturers


Toft, Cambridgeshire-based inkjet innovation company ixPressia has begun shipping its Print Engine software technology which aims to make the release of new printers easier for manufacturers.


The ixPressia Print Engine software enables inkjet printer manufacturers to drive printers with any printhead type, number and configuration, without having to develop new software each time they design a new printer.


Technical director Matt Pyne said: ‘This is a unique product which will make printer development much easier and quicker, and at a much lower cost than writing bespoke software from scratch.’


Jim Taylor, ixPressia’s managing director added: ‘This is a significant milestone for ixPressia as our Print Engine software is driving real inkjet printers. Our objective in setting up ixPressia was to help printer manufacturers substantially reduce development time by creating, uniquely, an off-the-shelf Print Engine.
