Vindon to move to Rochdale

Controlled environmental testing chamber supplier Vindon Healthcare has contracted Wilson Bowden to build a £3.3m manufacturing and storage facility in Rochdale.

The company has announced a new debt facility of £1.4m to help fund the move to Kingsway business park.

The 2,880m2 facility, which will be ready for use by the autumn of 2008, will provide Vindon with a significant new platform for future growth, the company said.

Vindon said the move will enable it to expand its manufacturing capacity two fold and to provide a best-in-class storage and disaster recovery facility for the UK and European pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

There will be further funds available to the group once the sale of the existing site in Diggle, Greater Manchester, takes place, the company said.
