AS&E wins vehicle-screening contract from US government

X-ray detection company American Science and Engineering (AS&E) has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the US government for multiple Z Portal vehicle-screening systems, to be deployed on multiple US border crossings.

The multi-year ID/IQ contract has a ceiling value of $67m (£42.6m) and the first task order has been funded for $29.5m.
