Work gets under way on cancer research facility in Manchester

Work has begun on the site of the new £28.5m Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) building.

Capita Symonds is providing multidisciplinary services for the research facility, the aim of which will be to develop and improve cancer treatment.

The MCRC is a partnership between Manchester University, the Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Cancer Research UK.

The facility is expected to be operational in summer 2014.
