Zettlex and Astrium team up to develop space position sensors

Zettlex and space technology company Astrium are jointly developing high-resolution, non-contact position sensors for space applications ranging from in-orbit systems to complex planetary robotics.

Supported by the Technology Strategy Board within the National Space Technology Programme, LIMPPET (Lightweight Miniature Precision Position Encoding Technology) is a 12-month applied research project between Zettlex and Astrium.

The aim of the project is to develop high-value products and services whose commercial exploitation will come from UK high-technology manufacturing companies.
