Reorganisation leads to sale of PCB plant

Fisher-Rosemount Systems plans to streamline its global supply chain to meet growing sales volumes, which increased more than 20 percent last year. And as part of an agreement with ACT Manufacturing, Fisher-Rosemount Systems will sell its UK board manufacturing operations, based at Leicester.

Fisher-Rosemount Systems will establish a ‘straight-through’ manufacturing process for components used in its automation system solutions, from circuit board manufacturing through final assembly. This approach aims to improve customer service levels by minimising handoffs and time lags throughout the supply chain to improve cycle times.

The company’s services, repair, and order management will remain in their current locations.

Terms of the agreement with ACT were not disclosed.
