Yokogawa plans European instrument production

Yokogawa has started manufacturing a range of electromagnetic flowmeters in Europe. The company’s ADMAG SE range previously produced only in Japan but originally developed to satisfy the needs of the European marketplace, is now being produced at the Rota Yokogawa plant in Germany.

Commenting on the move, Product Manager David Clitherow said: ‘Yokogawa has a corporate policy of developing products and refining the manufacturing processes to the point where they can be implemented locally. Once the production process is optimised, it is exported as a complete cell.’

The ADMAG SE range features an electronically controlled electrode and liner design which provides low maintenance requirements and long-term stability. Yokogawa claims an accuracy within 0.5% of measured value. The German built meters will be available in sizes up to DN 200, Hart and Brain communications are provided and hazardous area versions are also available.
