Covisint has awarded EDS a contract to provide global customer service support for the eBusiness exchange’s commercially available products and services.
Under the agreement, terms of which were not disclosed, EDS will provide direct assistance to Covisint customers world-wide, including those engaged in online automotive parts auctions.
Covisint is a global independent, eBusiness exchange for the automotive industry. By using EDS’ remote customer support services, Covisint customers will be able to obtain immediate assistance in the use of their products and services. EDS support will provide answers to customer issues encountered while using Covisint’s suite of Web-delivered services.
EDS will provide support for all of Covisint’s applications, including real time support for participants of live-auctions. In the event that a live-auction participant is unable to enter bids directly, for example, EDS will provide surrogate bidding services from its Southfield, MI and Mechelen, Belgium service centres.
