Rolls receives uplifting contract

Rolls-Royce and Canadian Helicopters Limited have recently signed an exclusive agreement on the supply of Model 250 engines, parts and technical support.

Rolls-Royce and Canadian Helicopters Limited (CHL), the largest operator of Rolls-Royce Model 250-powered helicopters in Canada, have signed an exclusive agreement on the supply of Model 250 engines, parts and technical support.

Canadian Helicopters, whose fleet includes 83 Model 250-powered helicopters, is Canada’s largest provider of air medical services.

Under the arrangement, Canadian Helicopters will receive the support of the Rolls-Royce Model 250 FIRST (Full-service Integrated Rolls-Royce Support Team) network of repair and overhaul providers.

The Rolls-Royce Model 250 FIRST network offers repair and overhaul support to the 4,000 plus operators of Model 250 300-450shp turboshaft and turboprop engines located throughout the world.

Ed Bergnach, Canadian Helicopters’ Vice-President of Maintenance commented, “The expertise that Rolls-Royce has made available to us is unprecedented and in my opinion, their proactive approach to problem solving raises the bar for other manufacturers.”
